ArtFest to be held in Mission Park

- ArtFest: A Celebration of World Music, Children & Art.
Arts-focused event with children’s art, family fun, global music, and entertainment as part of the Ventura Spring 2008 ArtWalk. Proceeds benefit the Ventura Charter School of Arts and Global Education. - Admission is free; event is open to the community.
- 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 26 (same day as Spring 2008 ArtWalk). - ArtFest will be held in Mission Park in downtown Ventura (across from San Buenaventura Mission).
- Hosted by Ventura Charter School of Arts and Global Education in partnership with City of Ventura’s Cultural Affairs Division.
Event highlights:
ArtFest is a celebration of world music, children and art during the Spring 2008 ArtWalk.
The event will feature local artists, children’s artwork, a silent auction of arts-related items, food
& drinks, children’s activities (e.g., crafts, face painting, storytelling, rides, entertainment), live
music, poetry and dancing representing an array of global cultures. The event is part of Ventura
Spring 2008 ArtWalk and will be held in Mission Park in downtown Ventura.
All funds raised will support Ventura Charter School of Arts and Global Education, whose mission is to prepare students to be active citizens of the 21st century and see themselves as interconnected and interdependent members of a diverse, global community. Ventura Charter School is a Ventura public school and enrollment is open to children in grades K-8 who reside in Ventura County.
